Unlike
any other cafe - restaurant in Keswick, our entire kitchen is meat free and our
food is totally natural, vegetarian and homemade.
Last year, we were
awarded the Vegetarian Societies "V" symbol. This gives complete reassurance and
acts as a guarantee that all ingredients used by us contain no animal products,
that the eggs are free range and all is GMO
free.
A
well balanced meat free diet is now widely regarded to be the healthiest choice.
There are now over 4 million vegetarians in the UK (and millions more who are
including far less meat in their diet).
Thats why, at the Lakeland Pedlar we
pride ourselves on producing food from a wide range of international influences
and believe our menu will appeal to the most discerning
palates.
Most
of our foods are prepared with unrefined ingredients, and when combined with the
finest, freshest fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains, we are able to
create delicious, nutritionally balanced meals. All cheeses are rennet free, our
eggs are free range and wherever possible we try to use natural sweeteners such
as fruit juices, syrups or honey in our desserts. Our range of organic cakes,
breads and slices are second to none, and for those of you who enjoy the more
'decadent' dessert, we always have something to delight
!
